I'm the programme manager of LaunchBox, Trinity’s summer accelerator for student startups, which means I work with, help, support and advise students interested in starting their own company or social enterprise from pre-application stage, all the way to the end of the LaunchBox programme, and beyond.
I have worked in universities in Ireland and abroad on strategic projects around innovation and employability for over four years now. A Trinity graduate myself, I love the work that we do, and I want to meet with and hear from students who have an idea they're passionate about, and see how we can help them to progress it.
I'm the programme manager for Blackstone LaunchPad here in Trinity. I help introduce entrepreneurship as a viable career option by supporting new ideas and student ventures. My background is in technology operations and startup community development, I worked for Facebook before joining Trinity and before that I was in Twitter and Google, in the YouTube division.
I helped establish Startup Weekend in Google running two of the earlier events. I have also participated in a number of accelerators and programs with my own ideas.
Bachelor of Commerce, worked in start-ups for over twenty years, including my own, recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer. Despite having a business degree, worked as a software engineer for five years before travelling the world doing systems integrations and, more recently, business development. The past fifteen years has been spent as CEO of a company that I co-founded, during which time I was involved in almost every aspect of establishing, financing and managing start-ups. Particular expertise in software and app-based innovations, but with a broad interest across the STEM disciplines and the arts and humanities.
Currently Interim CEO of the TCD Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub and acting Executive Director of Blackstone LaunchPad at Trinity College Dublin.
