One in three older adults fall every year and 80% of those who fall cannot get up without assistance.
FallSafe is a fast system to help elderly call for immediate assistance when falls happen.  The system comprises a mobile App and a wearable emergency button. Founded by Computer Science & Business David Cohalan and Industrial Engineering student Emanuele Ferrari, Fallsafe was created to improve the way in which elderly can call for help and reduce the 400 million euro economic costs related to falls in Ireland. The solution is supported by a community of volunteers that can help our customers when falls happen. FallSafe in October 2015 won the trinity Entrepreneurial Society competition and from April 2016 is part of Launchbox Incubator program. A prototype is already in place and in summer 2016 it will be tested on Home Instead customers before its final release.
