Anne-Marie Glynn is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at GBHI. Based at Trinity College Dublin, her role is to ensure GBHI fulfills its mission to enhance brain health and reduce the scale of dementia worldwide. “Facilitating and supporting new global leaders in their pursuit effectively reduces the scale and impact of dementia worldwide.”Before joining GBHI, Glynn worked at EMBO – excellence in life sciences holding concurrent roles as Head of EMBO Global Activities; Deputy Head of Administration and Finance; and Programme Manager of EMBO Courses and Workshops. Glynn was Director of the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Lebenswissenschaften Heidelberg GmbH. In these roles Glynn was responsible for the largest program of life science meetings in Europe, facilitating the exchange of scientific knowledge and promoting leadership skills for researchers. She also negotiated agreements with international governments, facilitating exchange among life scientists worldwide.
She studied her undergraduate degree at Trinity in Business Studies and Political Science, having spent her 3rd year on Erasmus at the Institut Politiques Etrangeres in Strasbourg. After, she completed a Masters in Human Rights and Criminology Justice at Queens University Belfast and worked in research in this area for a few years on notable projects at the University of Melbourne and at King’s College London. Then she joined Google in January 2008 and spent almost 7 years there, across different product groups (AdWords, User Operations and AdSense) and mainly in marketing and sales partnerships roles. Her final role at Google saw her lead the global Google AdSense Certified Partner program which she worked on since inception and grew for almost 2 years. The program was rebranded and relaunched as the Google Publishing Partner Program in 2015. In this role, she had a special focus on Europe and Asia. Catherine co-founded usheru with Ollie Fegan and Andres Macias in late 2014 with the intention to connect movie marketing to the box office. They operate across the UK and Ireland, with technology products for both consumer and business customers including Universal Pictures. Catherine’s areas of interest lie in product development, data and partnerships primarily and she is very always excited to share what she has learnt with others.
Deirdre joined Trinity Development as Associate Director in 2005 with the responsibility of raising funds for College’s strategic projects, having spent the previous two years as Fundraising Manager for the National Children’s Hospital. Prior to this, she was Marketing Manager with Reuters for six years and European Account Manager with Maxwell Online, London, an online patent and scientific database company. Deirdre holds a B.Sc. from University College Dublin

In three short years, I’ve helped Chupi become the leading Irish Jewellery Brand. I’ve always been passionate about the art of communication and storytelling, capturing those special moments and adding a touch of magic is what I do best. Thriving on creativity and innovation I am highly experienced and commercially minded. I curate every aspect of the Chupi brand from creating a world class brand experience to developing and delivering brand communication and engagement strategies. Creating amazing brand identities that spark excitement is what I love, and I adore nothing more than making sure every tiny sparkly detail is perfect.
I'm a Trinity law graduate who ended up working in media after my degree. I'm passionate about media aimed at women and have worked on health, policy and careers features predominantly. I've also contributed to publications like Guts, The Journal and Totally Dublin.
Kathy is an Investment Associate with Atlantic Bridge Capital based in Dublin. Atlantic Bridge is a Global Growth Equity Technology Fund with over $500 million of assets under management across five Funds, investing in technology companies in Europe, the US and China. Kathy works on deal sourcing, due diligence of potential investments, Fund marketing and supports the Investor Relations activities for Atlantic Bridge. Kathy previously worked as a Business Analyst in Microsoft, specifically managing the Academic Developer Programs for EMEA.
Kathy is passionate about the tech startup space and particularly about female entrepreneurship & females in the Venture Capital industry, which is something she writes and speaks about regularly.
Kathy has an MSc. in Electronic Commerce from Dublin City University, having completed a BA in Business and Management from the same institution.
I have been working in the NGO sector for the last 11 years on communications and advocacy campaigns. In that time I have worked on a variety of social justice and public health issues including mental health discrimination, health sector reform, suicide reduction and health inequalities. I am currently Policy & Communications Officer with Samaritans Ireland where I am responsible for raising awareness of the importance of help-seeking and campaigning for policy actions to reduce suicide.
After my degree in Applied Psychology, I completed my masters degree in Occupational Psychology in the UK. I work in consulting for 8 years in London and returned to Ireland nearly 5 years ago when I joined Accenture Strategy. I am now part of Accenture's new Global Centre for Innovation, called The Dock. I work with our clients to explore what innovation really means for them and their businesses.
With extensive experience in project development and management in the education, business and NGO sectors, I have key skills in networking, developing processes, identifying new areas of opportunity and demonstrating passion about where I work. I actively seek to collaborate with others to create social impact! Engaging and involving new partners is a key factor in enabling Science Gallery Dublin to deliver compelling experiences and ensure that it remains a free entry space. I'm responsible for the smooth strategy development and management of the Development and Fundraising activities. When not out networking, making connections or inviting people in for coffee and a tour, I can be found somewhere along the coastline on a standup paddleboard, or singing with gusto at a wedding near you.
After working in office administration for a number of years while my son was little, I returned to college at 28 as a mature student. I got involved in SU, USI, and GSU, becoming a sabbatical officer for the GSU in 2010/2011. Some of the projects I work on now include Space to Breathe and the Staff Peace Pilgrimage, both which involve trips to Israel and the Occupied Territories of Palestine.
I graduated from TCD with a Business & German degree, followed by a Masters in International Marketing at Smurfit Business School. I then joined the IBEC European Orientation Programme working for Siemens in Germany before moving to London for 12 years to work in Advertising, Marketing & Digital agencies. I have worked for myself as a marketing & brand consultant helping accelerate businesses onto the global stage. I currently work for The Taxback Group and have just launched a new brand -www.immedis.com as the Global Marketing Director.
Sinéad Burke is a PhD candidate in the School of Education in Trinity College. She is researching the experiences of student voice in Irish primary school classrooms. Sinéad is a primary school teacher, a broadcaster, a writer, a fashion aficionado and an ambassador for the ISPCC.
